M&M cookies in a jar gift idea
Looking for a thrifty gift? These M&M cookies in a jar gift idea are so easy to make. These gift jars come together in a jif, make a few extra for those gifts you may have forgotten about. For the teacher, mail person, neighbors. These are a thrifty gift that they can make when they are wanting to make a sweet treat.
you will need:
1 32 oz. mason jar with lid
1 package of red & green mini M&M’s (I found mine in the holiday baking section at Walmart)
**If you can’t find the mini’s, regular size red and green M&M’s will work just as well.
1 box of white cake, any brand will work
Directions:
Empty the cake mix into the canning jar. If you are afraid you will make a mess, pour it through a colander. If you have the larger mouthed colanders for canning, they will help you get all the mix into the jars.
Add your package of M&Ms and fill the jar the rest of the way.
Close the jar and attach the following directions:
Pour the jar ingredients into a medium size bowl.
Add ½ cup of vegetable oil and 2 eggs and mix well.
Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.
That is it. Probably the easiest gift on your list this year! These work any time of year and for any occasion, but especially at Christmas time when you are trying to come up with thrifty gift ideas.
