Well I know some of our readers outside of the cold Rocky Mountains have probably already have had vegetables from your garden. But here in Idaho (South West Idaho being the banana belt of Idaho) it is just now starting to warm up. Many of you might remember my post about planting gardens back in the first week in April. You can read about it here. Well above is a photo of the first tomatoes taken from the garden. Last week in fact. Its great to start enjoying fresh food from your own garden well before the other gardeners even get small green ones. So next winter start thinking ahead and get your garden going early… the earlier you start the more you save!
