My sister-in-law told me about this dessert and I knew I had to try it. You make no bake cookies but don’t add as much oatmeal as usual then you pour it over ice cream. It is soooo good. The chocolate sauce kind of hardens over the ice cream and the no bake cookie flavor goes great with vanilla ice cream. This is one of my new favorites.
No Bake Cookie Ice Cream Topping
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 tbsp cocoa
- 2 Tbsp peanut butter(optional)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 1/2-3 cups quick oats(depending on how thick you want it)
Combine all of the ingredients except the quick oats. Heat to a boil and allow it to boil for about 30 seconds, stirring continually. Remove from heat and add the oatmeal. Pour immediatly over ice cream. Enjoy!
