Sheep snowglobe ornament dollar store craft
This Sheep snowglobe ornament dollar store craft was so easy to make and I got almost all my supplies at the Dollar Tree. I love dollar stores and coming up with thrifty crafts from supplies I find there.

I love shopping at dollar stores and sometimes they have such great stuff. As soon as I saw this plastic, jar shaped snowglobe, I knew what I wanted to do with it! I also love Christmas and collect nativities, and wanted to fill it with something that reflected that.
On a side note, did you know you can shop online at the dollar store and have it shipped right to your store for free? I love this feature when you can’t find what you are looking for at your local store, or you want to buy a lot of an item and don’t want to clear the shelf.
You will need:
Crafters square pint jar ornament like this:
I mean, come on, isn’t that so cute?! I love it!
Farm animals from the dollar toys (the pack I got had multiple sheep in it, a small one and a large one):
Ribbon (if you want a bow on your ornament)
Hot glue or super glue
Fake snow (I had some on hand from an old project, but you can get this here)
Gold spray paint to cover your sheep
Begin by spray painting your sheep. I had a metallic gold paint at home, but you can go any color you wish. Give them a good coat and let them dry. Once they are dry, glue their feet onto the inside of your lid. Turn the jar ornament upside down and sprinkle some fake snow into it. It is easier to do it that way than to try to fill that tiny lid up. Screw on your lid and shake your ornament to get the snow all around the sheep. If you want a bow add that to the top. I thought it would look nice with a star on the top, since the shepherd and sheep saw the star in their field to know that Christ was born, but I couldn’t find one that I loved. So for now, it is starless and still adorable.
If you try to make an ornament like this, I would love to see what you come up with! Share it with us.
