Super Thrifty Homemade Window cleaner

We all try to find ways to cut back and save money. Home made recipes save money too, both in the food bills and in home cleaning supplies.

We were recently sent a great guest post from Chrissy Keeps It Real. It is a great recipe for making Thrifty homemade window cleaner.

Just 3 simple ingredients:  rubbing alcohol, dish soap and ammonia
Recipe:
1 Tablespoon dish soap
1 Tablespoon ammonia
1 Pint rubbing alcohol
Price breakdown:
Ammonia $1.99 for a huge jug
Dish soap–well you know I use coupons and pay nothing!
Alcohol– coupons 🙂
Total price for a gallon of window cleaner–$0.05
In a gallon jug (we used a rinsed out milk container) pour in all three ingredients.

We like to use a funnel to make it easier.

Fill the rest of the jug with hot water.
You can add a little blue food coloring if you want it to REALLY look like windex 🙂
We used our old windex bottles and just refilled them!
