Taste of Fall ~ Homemade Apple Juice

My Brother gleaned  apples from  a local orchard, and made them into apple sauce.  But he had some left over, and they were starting to get a little soft and asked me if I wanted them.  I knew I did not have time to do apple sauce, but I also did not want them to go to waste.  So Matt and I decided we would juice them.

We washed them first, then cut the core out and put them into the juicer.  Out came some of the best apple juice I have ever tasted.  We were able to get 6 liters of juice, but it was so strong we found it was even better if we added some water to it as well.  So we were able to get 12 liter of apple juice.  I thought I might freeze some, but much to my surprise it did not take long for us to drink it… and it is now gone.

Amazon has lots of Juicers to pick from if you are looking to purchase one.
