I am excited to once again be offering my readers a Eucerin Prize Pack Giveaway see bottom of the post to enter.
But first I wanted to take a minute and tell you about the first time I was introduced to Eucerin. Even as a little child I have suffered from dry itchy skin. Raised bumps on my skin that would itch so bad I would often scratch them till they would bleed. I found myself wearing long sleeve shirts and long pants to cover them. When I was 9 years old my Mom made an appointment with a Doctor to see what they could do about my skin.
Finally my ” red bumps” had a name, I was told I had Eczema and was given tips to care for my skin. The Doctor also informed my Mom that proper hydration of the skin was key to keeping it under control. I had always used lotion, but it was not cutting it. He informed my Mom that the best thing to use was Eucerin. At that time (25 years ago) you had to get it from the pharmacist and it came in a white tub kind of like crisco cooking grease. I think the tub cost $9 or something, may not seem like a lot, but on a limited budget it was a lot to spend “on a tub of grease”. But I was lucky to have a Mom that was willing to sacrifice to care for her children.
That night after my short bath (as limited time in the water was one of the ways to help prevent dry skin) my Mom helped rub the Eucerin on my arms and legs. I admit at first I was not like it that much, I would have much rather used pretty smelling lotion. But after just a few weeks found it took away those painful red bumps and dry patches. It has now been part of my skin care routine for over 20 years. I am grateful to a caring Mom who was willing to give me the gift of Eucerin and better skin health.
