My mom has always been thrifty. Of course she taught me how to be resourceful, but I think the most important thing she taught me was that the most important thing in life is family. You don’t really need anything else besides family. I am proud to be her daughter and try to follow in her footsteps.

I am very close with both of my grandmothers and my mother. My grandmothers are both wonderful cooks and I am so thankful that they shared this talent with me. It has come in so handy to know how to put the ingredients together that I have and make a delicious meal. I have seen other women my age that can not even make scrambled eggs. The most important thing my mother has taught me is to RELAX, I tend to get really worked up with a problem arises and she is always there to say calm down and think through it, it will work out, it ALWAYS works out. This is sooo true because when you think back everything has always worked out and you are never given more than you can handle. Whether is its a flat tire or problems with other people this is something I always tell myself, RELAX and take a deep breath. It always works! Thanks Mom

My mother is a great woman. She taught me many things. She taught my to stick up for my brothers because family is forever. At the end of the day, it’s family that matters most. She was right, one of my brothers died of cancer and he was only 23. So please teach your kids to love and respect their family because one day they may not be there.
