Thrifty Hair Rags

When I visited my sister in Boston my nieces wanted to have curly hair so I decided to make some rags to do it.

Step 1. Find some sort of old fabric, I used some old socks.
Step 2. Cut 4-6 in strips. the strips only need to be about 1 in thick, but they need to be 4-6 in long so that you can tie the rags once in the hair.
Step 3. You are ready to start rolling the hair.I do it with wet hair, usually right after their bath. You do it just like you were using rollers. I start from the top of the head and take a small strip of hair. Start at the bottom of the strand and roll up until you get to the top. Then tie the rag in a single knot.
Step 4. continue to roll all of the hair.
Step 5. Let the hair dry. Over night is best, but at least 3 hours.

Step 6. Start from the bottom and unroll each curl.
Step 7. Seperate each curl to make more curls, twisting each curl around your finger as you go. This will make the curls look more like ringlets.
Step 8. Style, and spray with hairspray.
