Heather July 30, 2012 at 9:30 am ~I have 3 in school this year and one thing that I had started a few years ago was when the stores have the 1 cent sale I buy more than 1 and put them away for the next year. Also I have 2 who are older and if they decide they have to have that pair of tennies I can’t buy they use their own money. They seem to take care of things better if they have to shell out the money from thier account. The other thing we try to do is focus on things that they need and they each get to pick one want item. We also have the envelops that have thier budget in them and when the money is gone they are done. That way I don’t spend more than I should and they have a chance to help pick things they want.
