Cheesy Chip Dip Recipe, Oven baked chip dip, The Easiest Cheesy Chip Dip You will ever make, #ChipDip, #Cheese, #DipCheesy Chip Dip

If you like a good chip dip then this is a recipe you have got to try.  I had it for the first time about 15 years ago, it was a cold winter day we were getting together for a craft night with my cousins.  She pulled this hot bubbly chip dip out of the oven and we pretty much licked the pan clean… it was that good.  I told her I would love the recipe.  I was SHOCKED to find out how easy it was! I have been making it for social event ever since, and it is always a hit!

You will need

  • 1 80z brick of cream cheese
  • 1 can of Chili 15-19 oz(with NO beans) you just want meat and sauce
  • 2 cups grated Mexican blend cheese (or cheddar)
  • 3 green onions diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Corn chips to eat it with

In the bottom of a 9×9 pan spread the cream cheese in an even layer.  I use the back of a spoon, or just get my hand wet (prevents the cream cheese from sticking to it) and press into  an even layer.  Next open your can of NO BEAN chili spread in an even layer, top with grated cheese.

Put into  an 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or till cheese is totally melted and edges of the dip are bubbly. Take out of oven, sprinkle on the cilantro and green onions.  Serve with corn chips and watch it disappear 🙂

Football Superbowl party ideas, low cost and easy ways to decorate for game day, Football Food, Game day recipes made easy and budget freindlyFootball Super Bowl Party ~ Fast, Easy, Low Cost Ways to Decorate for Game Day

Are you hosting a football party or maybe a Super Bowl Party?  My son was having a Football Party, but I did not want to spend a bunch on decorations.  But at the same time I wanted it to look fun and festive.  I decided to make fun, low cost football serving containers for the chips out of a brown paper lunch sack.  At first I just dumped the chips right in the bag… but that left grease spots all over them.  I found it works best to keep the chips in their normal bag, and fold the top down or cut it off.  Then use the brown paper bag as the outer shell.

A bag of chips has a LOT of air in it, so I bought medium size bag of chips and it filled up the small (standard) lunch sack just perfect.  Start out by taking the flat, brown bag and drawing on the black laces of the football.  I did mine with a sharpie marker.  Open up your bag and  then fold down the top a few times to create a “bowl” out of your bag. Put your opened bag of chips inside, cut off the top of the bag or roll it down so it will not show.  You can use Football Stickers  and Craft Twine to decorate the bag too.  Clean up is super easy, just toss the bag in the trash and you are done 🙂

Football Party Food and snack ideas, NFL Game Day party treats, Superbowl recipes, Salted Caramel Football Rice Krispies, Tailgate snacksFootball Party Food ~ Salted Caramel Rice Krispies Treats

This is a fun recipe to bring to any game day or football party.  Best part is you can make them the night before so no need to rush around the day of your party. Perfect finger food or snack. If you did not want to go to all the trouble of melting the caramel you could always just use peanut butter.  Hope you enjoy this recipe as you cheer for your favorite team! Be sure and follow our Football Party Pinterest Board for even more ideas.

INGREDIENTS FOR RICE KRISPIES
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
Two 10 oz. bags of mini marshmallows
10 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
12 oz bag of caramels
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
Sea Salt
Wilton white icing tube

This recipe will yield a 9 x 9 pan and make approximately 8 footballs (depending on size of cookie cutter):

DIRECTIONS FOR RICE KRISPIES
1.   Spray a 9 x 9 pan with Pam and set aside.
2.   In a large microwave safe bowl add marshmallows and butter. Cook for 1 minute, stir and eat again for another minute
3.   Once marshmallows are melted and well blended start to stir in the Rice Krispies.
4.   Using a rubber spatula, transfer the cereal mixture to the prepared pan and press down firmly and evenly.
5.   Allow the Rice Krispies to cool in the pan completely.
6.   Once cooled, use a football-shaped cookie cutter to cut out football shapes.
7.   Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper. Place the footballs on the lined baking sheet and prepare salted caramel sauce.
8.   In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, add the caramels, butter and milk. Stir occasionally until melted.
9.  Remove caramel sauce from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
10.  Ice each Rice Krispies football with the caramel sauce.
11.  Sprinkle a touch of sea salt on top of the caramel footballs.
12.  With a Wilson white icing tube, pipe the laces of each football krispie.
13.  Let set for 5-10 minutes.
