Help name our baby

03/15/2010 6:31 am · 496 comments

baSo here is the deal. With out planning this, all of our kids initials are M.J.B. So to not leave our fourth out in the dark with an odd ball initial, help us name his first name. Matthew is out of the question, and other names like Michael and Mark and Max and other forms of those names are out as well.

So help us find a unique boy name that starts with M. Leave a comment

Maryhelen March 15, 2010 at 8:01 am

If you wanted to go biblical: Malachi or Melchezidek or Mordechi.

If you wanted to go BofM: Moroni, Mahonri, or Moriancumer.

If you wanted to go popular: Mason or McKay.

If you wanted to go classic/southern: Montgomery.

Other ideas: Malcolm, Merrick, and Mitchell.

We attempted to continue the initial pattern we had going when we had baby #4…what should have been E.G.F turned into N.J.F for us. Here’s hoping you have better luck continuing your letters! <3

Tabitha March 15, 2010 at 8:00 am

All of my grandchildren have the initials AML, therefore, I know what you mean by trying to be original and keep with the same initials. The only “M” that comes to mind that is not as common as the nes you listed is “Miles or Myles”.

Tina Plummer March 15, 2010 at 7:37 am

Michelle March 15, 2010 at 7:31 am

My son’s name is Mitchell–it is a name we hear on occasion, but not with a lot of frequency. He is a very happy child and has brought a lot of joy into our lives. Good luck on picking a name–it took us the full pregnancy to agree on that one.

Heather March 15, 2010 at 7:30 am

How about Mason or Micah?

Katy March 15, 2010 at 7:28 am

How about Mason? And if you don’t already have a ‘J’ middle name, Josiah fits really well. My husband and I love the name Mason, but it doesn’t work with our last name. Good luck!

Angelica March 15, 2010 at 7:28 am

You can also preface many names with “Mc” to get a name starting with M. One of my friends named their little boy McHugh after his grandfather, Hugh. I also know a little boy named McCall.

Do you have a middle name picked out already?

Miles, Mason, Marshall

adele March 15, 2010 at 6:53 am

I’ve always loved the name Mark. There’s also Marcus, Miles or Myles, and Morgan. I purposely close “A” names for my twin daughters so we’d all have the same initials. Even now that they’re 13, people think still think it’s kind of cute. Good luck with your name search!
