How to make Flubber, Flubber recipe. Fun experiments to do with kids. How to make slime #Flubber, #FlubberRecipe

We made flubber as part of my daughters science themed party.  It was quick and easy to make and all the girls LOVED it!  We made it with both clear glue and the standard white school glue.  The white school glue did NOT firm up and was more of a “slime” texture.  They thought the slime was awesome as well…. but if you try this recipe be aware that the type of glue you use will make a difference on the final outcome.

  • Food Coloring

  • 2 Small Bowls for Mixing

In one of your mixing bowls, combine 1  teaspoons Borax with 1/2 cup of lukewarm water. Stir until Borax is dissolved.

In the second bowl, combine 1/2 cup glue and 1/2 cup of lukewarm water, 8 drops of food color and 1 tablespoon glitter. Stir until well mixed.

Mix both bowls together. Mix with your hands and watch it start to become solid. Pour off the extra water,  knead  with your hands until it starts to bind together, continue to pour off any extra water. Squish it together with your hands. It will stretch, bounce and just FUN to play with.

Like I said above we used the WHITE school glue and it was more of a slime texture…. in order to get the “flubber” that is more firm and will bounce you need the CLEAR school glue. How to make Flubber, Flubber recipe. Fun experiments to do with kids. How to make slime #Flubber, #FlubberRecipe

My kids really enjoyed playing with this.... until they tried to make a hat out of it. But they had fun with it.
