I posted this 4 years ago…. BUT my girls asked me to make dirt and worms the other day.  I thought I would share the idea again since it is such a fun EASY idea.  Hope you enjoy it too. dirts and worms.jpg

We have been enjoying the  warmer weather and working in the garden.  So last week I decided to make an outdoor themed treat for the kids.  I made Dirt and Worms in a cup and then hid them in the yard for the kids to find.  They LOVED it!

These could not be easier to make, just  whip up some chocolate pudding.  I just used the Jello Instant Pudding mix, pour it into the glass. Stick in your worms or other “gummy bugs” then top with some crushed Oreo’s.

You could do a treasure hunt and have the kids find them in the refrigerator,  but I just set them in the back yard then let my kids run around to find them.   Kids on the loose looking for sugar is always entertaining…lol.

It did not take them long to hunt them down, then gobble them up… it is a simple but fun activity perfect for a summer!
