Screen Limits
Many parents choose to limit their kids’ screen time, but doing so without the proper tools is difficult. With Kindle FreeTime, parents can set daily limits, or restrict certain categories – like games and video – while leaving unlimited time for reading. In Kindle FreeTime mode, web browsing and purchasing content are also disabled.
Individual Profiles
With Kindle FreeTime, parents can create up to six individual child profiles and choose from their own collection of content which titles they want to give each of their kids access to. It’s like giving each kid their very own, personalized tablet. Kids can’t exit Kindle FreeTime mode without a password.
Built for Kids
When kids are in Kindle FreeTime mode, the background color and fonts change to a kid-friendly design. Kids only see titles that have been selected for them and, just like on Kindle Fire, their most recently enjoyed titles display on a home screen carousel just for them. In addition, kids can navigate visually to content based on characters or topics – for example “Cinderella,” “Dinosaurs,” or “Puppies.”
I haven’t heard of this until today, but I love the idea! A safe way for kids to play plus it’s not that expensive. If you even buy one kindle book per kid a month this will save you lots of money! Plus if you sign up with Prime it’s even cheaper!

so does it have movies/tv shows, games, and books?
My son has used Free Time since Christmas and I love it. I can set up time limits to control how long he can watch movies/use apps and he cannot go online while in Freetime. It is a way for a school aged child to have some freedom without worrying about everything they are seeing.
Anyone know of a similar app from Google play store?
