Thrifty Recipe- 7 layer taco dip

You will need:

  • 1 can of refried beans
  • 1  16 oz tub of sour cream
  • 1 packet taco seasoning ( or southwest dip)
  • 2 cups grated  cheese
  • 1 tomato diced
  • 1/2 cup olives diced
  • 4 green onions diced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  • Bag of tortilla chips to eat the dip with

I made this for our family reunion this weekend, we always enjoy it.

In a 9×13 pan spread a can of refried bean on the bottom in an even layer

Add a taco seasoning packet to a tub of sour cream, mix well.

Spread sour cream mixture over the top of the beans in even layer

Top with 2 cups of grated cheese

Chop up, tomatoes, olives, green onions and cilantro,  sprinkle on top of cheese layer.

I make my dip with mashed avacodas on the bottom instead of the beans. Looks good I will have to try it your way. :)

sounds like a dip I make... I use everything but the beans and i also use cream cheese. Plus its not a very expensive dip! :)
