Asking for a Rain Check on a coupon deal

Before sale price or coupons this would have cost $19.08

I was able to get it  for $5.55

A few weeks ago Waglreens had a great sale on theater candy and coupons to go with it… making it a really thrifty deal.  Well I did not get to the store as soon as I would have liked so they were gone.  Being that is was NOT a Register Reward deal I just asked for a rain check.

Tip, you do need to keep track of the expiration date of the coupons so you can still get the lowest price… Often in couponing you will find empty shelves and this is one way to still get the deal.

How many of you ask for rain check, and what tips can you offer?

rain check n.

1. A ticket stub entitling the holder to admission to a future event if the scheduled event is canceled because of rain.
2. An assurance to a customer that an item on sale that is sold out or out of stock may be purchased later at the sale price.
3. A promise that an unaccepted offer will be renewed in the future
