This weekend Matt whipped up a batch of crepes, he posted the batter recipes here as well as the cream filling recipe. But we also made a Baked Apple Pear filling that mixed with the vanilla cream…. is just about the best thing I have ever tasted!

You will need:
- 5 Cups cubed apples
- 2 Cups cubed pairs
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/3 Cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- 3 Tablespoons corn starch
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 Tablespoons butter
Peel and core apples and pears, chop into small cubes. I make the Pears about half the size, because they stay a little more firm once cooked. Add to a baking dish, and toss with lemon juice.
Sprinkle Sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and butter over the top, then stir till well coated.
Then add corn starch to water, stir will incorporated and add to apple pear mixture. Cover with lid or foil. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
We add them to a crepe with a little vanilla cream, wrap in a warm crepe then top with whip cream and a little caramel sauce.
They are so yummy, hope you enjoy them as much as we did!
