I was watching a Youtube video on a reporter walking around asking people what the 4th really is. Out of some 30 people only two knew. one guy thought it was freedom from China, Some thought it was our win over Germany. I was awestruck. Really People!
We came to this land for freedom. Freedom of religion. Freedom to worship how we wanted. Freedom to prosper with out a monarch’s thumb bearing down on our growth. Growth economically, religiously, personally, and in every way we wanted freedom.
As we watch, listen and enjoy the fireworks tonight – Let us remember why we celebrate this day in our Declaration of Independence from the British Empire.
