What will one do to save a dollar or provide healthy produce for thier family?
I signed up to get my bountiful basket last Monday, knowing I would be gone all week. I totally underestimated the lack of sleep I would get and the utter exhaustion I would feel. We got in about midnight Friday night, and I knew I had to be up at 7am to pick up my basket. Matt told me to just sleep in and forget the $16.50 loss……. Ahhh what? Has he forgotten who he is married to? I paid for it, and by golly I was going to pick it up!
I drug myself out of bed, stumbled around in the dark and got dressed ( as to not wake the baby), put on a stocking cap to hide my fuzzy out of control hair, did not even bother to check my face ( should have, because I noticed later my mascara had smugged and it looked like I had a black eye) and out into the cold I went to get my veggies.
It was totally worth it, and my kids were happy to see the refrigerator stocked with fruit and veggies when they woke up!
Don’t forget the sign up window now opens at 12 noon on Mondays.
