Pepper and Balsamic Pork Chops ~ Crock Pot Recipe
I like this recipe because it taste good… BUT it looks good too. When you cook meat in the crock pot it often come out pale and “boil” looking. With this recipe the meat comes out with great color and nice and tender. It looks like it has been baked or cooked on the stove top. This is a perfect recipe to toss in the crock pot on a busy day and have dinner ready without the stress.
You will need:
- 1 1/2 lbs Pork Chops (medium- thick cut)
- Black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Balsamic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Lay the pork chops in the bottom of the crock pot, sprinkle black pepper on the top of them. How much is your digression, I just pepper them like I would if I was going to grill them. In a small mixing bowl, mix together the garlic, brown sugar, balsamic, oil, ginger powder, dry mustard and ginger. Whisk together and pour over the pork chops. Put the lid on, cook over medium heat for 4-5 hours. Or you can cook them over high heat for 3 hours.

I don’t think “digression” is the right word there. Great recipe though, thanks.
