If you have been reading my blog over the last 5 years you know I love my local Albertsons store. I know most the employees by first name and they always make shopping there a great experience. Albertsons also offers some amazing sales each week, worth stocking up on. Have you checked out this weeks deals yet? You can see our coupon match ups for the Northwestern area (Idaho, Utah, North Dakota). If you are in the Northwest Ad area (Oregon, Washington and northern Idaho) you can grab a $5 off $25 purchase coupon.
My favorite deal this week is Whole Boneless Pork Loin for only $1.88/lb. This is such a great cut of meat I use it in lots of recipes, it also freezes really well. I will often stock up at this price and keep a few in the freezer. If you like pork chops then here is a thrifty tip, this is the same cut of meat they use to cut the chops. BUT if you buy chops they are $3.49 a lb right now. SO to save yourself some money, grab a Whole Boneless Pork Loin take it to the butcher right there in your Albertsons and ask them to cut it up into chops for you…. they will do it for FREE! There is an orange sticker right on the package telling you they will do it:).
If you don’t like pork, CHICKEN (boneless skinless) is ALSO on sale this week for only $1.88 a lb!
Here are a few recipes I like to make with pork loin
