Strawberry shortcake pie

I love spring. The changing weather, the flowers and plants blooming, the sun shining, and strawberries. Eating a fresh picked berry is one of the best flavors. Add in all the yummy treats you can make with them, and they quickly become even tastier. This strawberry shortcake pie takes the flavor of a classic spring dessert and adds a twist. This pie will quickly become one the family will request again and again.

you will need:

1 pkg dream whip and ingredients to make ( I made both packets for a fuller pie)

1 lb strawberries-sliced

1 tub strawberry glaze

8oz soft cream cheese

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

8 sheets graham crackers crushed

4 T melted butter

½ C sugar

directions:

Preheat oven to 350.

Combine the crushed graham crackers and butter. Press into a pie pan and bake for 10 minutes.

While it’s baking, mix the dream whip up according to package directions in a medium size bowl and set aside.

Grab another medium sized bowl and combine the softened cream cheese and 1 ½ C powdered sugar until smooth.

Combine the dream whip and the cream cheese mixture until smooth.

Pour the mixture into cooled pie crust and let set in the fridge for 3 hours.

When ready to serve, combine the sliced berries and glaze and pour on top of pie.
