The best oatmeal recipe ever, nutella and fresh apples! Once you try it you will never go back to plain oatmeal again #nutella #Oatmeal #BreakfastRecipe #HealthA few months ago I was introduced to nutella, or course I have heard about it for years… but I had just never tried it.   I tasted it and OH MY WORD, this stuff is AMAZING!  In fact I said, WOW get me a spoon.

I try to eat oatmeal for breakfast because I know it if good for me, but I do not exactly look forward to it…… that is until I added apples and nutella. One morning I chopped up fresh apples, and added a drizzle of nutella it wasn’t just good, it was delicious!!! The tart crisp apple and the sweet creamy nutella are the perfect combo.

SO give it a try and see what you think…. I am pretty sure you will agree with me.  That is truly is THE BEST OATMEAL EVER!

All you need:

Oatmeal cooked according to package directions

Granny smith or Honey Crisp Apple cubed

Drizzle of nutella….. and a big spoon to eat it with!

Or sometimes when we are having a sundae bar I’ll make this as one of the topping choices. Yummy! I’m gonna have to try the nutella and apples on the oatmeal and see if we like it.

I like to take the apples, cut them up, put them in a sauce pan on the stove with all of the other ingredients for apple pie filling and then slow cook it down (takes about 15-20 min). We serve that over a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the oatmeal! Yum!

Mary Robinson Fuller, if you don’t like regular oatmeal because of the texture, try making it with steel-cut oats! :o)
