Earlier this week I posted a recipe for Egg Rolls. We really enjoy them, but they are even better when you dip them in sweet and sour sauce. We like to make ours…it is quick easy and cost a fraction of the premade bottled sauce.
You will need:
- 2/3 Cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
- 2/3 Cup Pineapple Juice ( or Orange juice)
- 1/4 Cup White Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon catsup ( ketchup)
- 1 Teaspoon soy sauce
- 2 Tablespoon corn starch
- 1/4 cup water
In a saucepan bring the first 5 ingredients to a boil over medium heat, stir so it does not burn. Thicken with Cornstarch diluted with water, cook one more minute. Take off heat. Enjoy!
