Summer Reading Programs at your local library are a great idea! Most of them have tons of great prizes and activities and it promotes your kids to read some really good books!!

I had my nine year old daughter write a list of fun things that she wants to do this summer. Some things that she wrote down were; fishing (with her dad – since he has the license), camping, walking to get ice cream (a mile walk from our house), and the zoo (we have 4.00 days once a month). I had to tell her that “Great Wolf” was not “cheap” summer fun…

We spend alot of time at the park, so we are thinking that we will do alot of park time. Expecting our fourth so the swimming looks good too!

We needed to get the yard ready to mow tonight. So my three year old and I went on a “treasure hunt” in our backyard for all of his toys. He pulled the wagon around and we “unburried” all of his toys from our tall grass and put them in the “treasure chest.”
