I was folding laundry when my 2 year old came in crying, “Mommy, I want in!” He just kept saying it over and over. He walks off mumbling under his breath I want in, I want in. I grab the clothes and round the corner to see that my 5 year old has used the old baby gates to build a fort for herself.
I tell her that her brother is sad and would like to come in.
She does not smile, she just pauses and looks me dead in the face, ” Mom, I built the cage to KEEP HIM OUT why would I let him in? You should put me in a cage everyday it is awesome.”
Laughing to myself , who would have ever thought my kids would ASK to be put in a cage LOL!
