Chicken Pillows

IMG_2462Remember the thrifty deal we got on Crescent rolls a few weeks ago?  Well I thought I would pass along one of my favorite ways to use them.

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 8oz cream cheese
  • 3 green onions chopped
  • 1/4 cup celery chopped fine
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt, pepper, garlic powder

You will need one package of crescent rolls,

Mix the items listed above in bowl, and spoon 2 TBS into each crescent roll.

IMG_2453IMG_2456IMG_2457IMG_2455IMG_2458Bake at 350 degrees for 13-16 minutes till golden brown.
If you find the triangle  hard to work with you can make larger ones buy using two rolls, in a rectangle shape folded in half.  Just add twice the amount of filling since you are using two rolls.

IMG_2459We eat them with chicken gravy on top.  ( Can of Cream of Chicken soup, thinned down with a little bit of milk)

Hope you enjoy!

I made these last night for dinner and they were a huge hit. Even my very picky four year old loved them. After a very long week I was in need of a new idea. Thank you so much. Instead of the canned soup gravy, I made a quick pan gravy with rue and chicken stock, s $ p, thyme, and poultry seasoning (I’m not a fan of canned cream of chicken soup. But this will be added to our monthly rotations. Thank you and congrats on the new little boy!

Yours look so nice. I love chicken roll ups are what we call them. We do something similiar to Hilary, but we use stove top to roll them in instead of bread crumbs. We just crusch the stove top a little smaller. Thanks for all your time you put into this sight! I really appreciate all the useful info.

You amaze me!! These look so yummy! I kind of did something similar last week with left over spaghetti sauce/meat – and it tasted good…but didn’t look nearly as beautiful! …and I love the idea to make them with leftover Turkey… yum!

We do something similar with leftover Turkey from Thanksgiving…only instead of onions and celery we throw in mushrooms. Yum!

well its black now.. it came as a normal colored tan… We use it for everything… Matt loves making pizza on it, we cook chicken on it, fish, bread, tater tots, fries, you name it… so its well cured…

We do these, but we roll ‘em more into a ball, then dip in butter then roll in bread crumbs with some seasonings mixed in, then cook closer to 20 minutes. Love ‘em!

Loved the taco soup too.. made it more like chili though and used Ranch Doritos!

I have to thank you for all the recipes you put on here. they are always the highlight for me. so simple, and so yummy.
