Water Pinaqua – Thrifty Summer Fun
If you are having a summer party and want to have some thrifty games for the kids (and adults) to play, this is a great idea! Beat the heat with the Water Pinaqua!
It’s like a pinata, only full of water. We did this for a recent cub scout activity and it was a hit! We had a few different games, and this was by far the most popular!
Save yourself some headache if you are going to do this though, and have someone holding the pinaqua on a long stick. Trying to tie it to the tree while full of water was time consuming and really just a pain. This way we were able to tie the super heavy balloon full of water before it was up in the air.
You will need:
Balloons (regular not water)
A hose
A stick to tie the balloon on
Someone to hold the pinaqua up
A stick to smack the balloon with
A scarf or something to cover the person’s eyes
Begin by preparing a few balloons. We just got a couple of packages of the 9 inch balloons. Anything larger would be really heavy. Fill them with water and tie them off. When you are ready, tie one to the end of your stick. Now, you play it just like you would a pinata and let them go nuts trying to pop this thing!
So simple, so inexpensive, and a total blast to play! Be ready to get wet!
