A Time to Remember

night-at-golgotha-1869With so much conflict in the world today, and with the society and family itself under attack from all sides, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on who we are. Sarah and I started this blog as a way to help others. At first it was to show our close friends a new way to use coupons to save, in some cases, over 90% off your groceries. As we grew to a national coupon blog, we have grown faster then what we have ever expected. We are truely humbled when we are recognized out shopping, and our readers come up to us and say “Are you A Thrifty Mom, or Dad?”. It really shocks us that so many of you follow us. Daily we get emails thanking us for our site, and for what we have been able to pass on to others to help them live more comfortably with what they have. I have mentioned it before and will say it again. My whole life I take a step back and try to work things out more efficiently. And when I was a young teen I realized you could live like a king on $30,000 per year gross income. When I hear of stories of souse getting laid off but everything seemed to work out because they were using coupons effectively, and had a food storage, I really feel so happy for them.

After we started this site, we soon realized that many of our readers were ready our site for more then just coupons tips. They came here to learn how to live like A Thrifty Mom. I know that every day both Sarah and I learn so much from you and from our efforts to pass on savings and tips to others! We really are humbled at your kind words!

As this day goes on, this Easter Sunday, I would hope that we can all sit back and think of the many blessings that we have been given. Wether you are a religious person or not, I would hope that you would think of the moments in your life and those around you that mean the most.

We are thankful for our family. I am thankful for my wife, and her kind and generous spirit. My children that she has blessed me with are such a joy to my life. I am humbled to be able to be their father and to teach them how to be proper men, and women in their future years. I am thankful for my God and his Son Jesus Christ. I know that he lived, and that he was resurrected on this day that we remember him by. I am thankful for the atonement and the role Christ played in it so that I can be forgiven of my sins. I am thankful for the Holy Ghost and the calming and perfect spirit it brings into my life as I follow the Savior. I am thankful for the scriptures and the true it teach us. I am thankful for all of the Prophets. Their guidance and teaching for our family help lead us and help me learn how to better my self and my family.

May you be blessed and have a very happy Easter day.
