Here is the recipe:
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
15oz marshmallows
3 Tablespoons softened butter
1 cup Light cocoa candy melts
10 ice cream cones
4th of July sprinkles
4th of July nonpareil sprinkles
Large microwave safe mixing bowl
Small microwave safe bowl
Non stick cooking spray
In your microwave safe bowl combine your butter and marshmallows and heat for 1-2 minutes. Microwave for 1 minute, and then do for 30 second intervals until marshmallows get puffy and butter is melted. Stir to combine.
Mix in the Rice Krispie cereal and let it cool in the bowl.
While that sets, heat the candy melts in a microwave safe bowl for 3-4 minutes stirring every 30 seconds. Do it on 50% power if possible.
Hold the ice cream cone upside down and dip in the melted chocolate. Shake off the excess chocolate.
Coat the melted chocolate portion of your ice cream cone in the sprinkles right away before it hardens. You can sprinkle them to just add a few, or have some in a bowl and dip the cone into the sprinkles. Place them in the freezer to harden.
Scoop out a handful of your set up Rice Krispies and press into the ice cream cone, shaping it into a scoop of ice cream shape.
Carefully press on more sprinkles onto the Rice Krispie scoop.
Now your festive 4th of July snack is ready to enjoy!
