Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. The Following story is about the Udofia family, their bag of rice was donated thanks to Lisa Marlow this is the 459th bag of rice our program has been able to give away thanks to generous donations.
We met this wonderful family in Uyo, Nigeria. A family we had earlier visited directed us to the Udofia family. The Udofia live in a one room apartment which is on the verge of collapse because of the effect of the flood and lacks basic amenities like running water and electricity. The family is blessed with 2 kids.
The Udofia family cooks outside their home with a mini gas cooker, the flood has destroyed their kitchen and the only option left for them is to cook outside their home, Mr. King Sunday Udofia is a mechanic, he specializes in repairing tricycle to make ends meet for the family and Mrs. Comfort Sunday Udofia is a hair stylist, she does this to support the husband.
When we told them that we have a bag of rice for them, they were surprised and asked if it is a dream, they never believed a bag of rice can be given to them without any strings attached. They thanked the donor and prayed God continue to bless them and the work of their hand.
