I can only speak for myself, but the Sandy Hook tragedy has been on my mind non stop. I have been praying for these families, that they may find the strength to get through this trial and feel the comfort from the prayers of this nation offered up to the Lord in their behalf.
Today I went to church with my family, as we do every Sunday. I was touched when they invited us to read the 3rd verse of the hymn Away In A Manager and find comfort in the words. I thought I would share it with you as well.
Be near me, Lord Jesus;
I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever
And love me I pray!
Bless all the dear children
In Thy tender care,
And fit us for Heaven
To live with Thee there.
Stay strong! There’s still hope in this world. Our Lord is with us.
