Candy Cane Hot Chocolate Dippers

Hey all! I hope you’ve been enjoying this Christmas season and it hasn’t been too stressful. My daughter really wanted to make these Candy Cane Hot Chocolate Dippers. We got all the kids got involved and it was a fun and easy Christmas treat to make. We made several so we gave some to the neighbor with hot chocolate packets as a gift.

Here’s what you need for Candy Cane Hot Chocolate Dippers:

  • Marshmallows
  • Mini candy canes and a few big ones for crushing
  • Chocolate chips (or another chocolate you can melt easily)
  • White chocolate chips

Step 1: Insert mini candy canes into marshmallows

Step 2: Melt Chocolate. How much will depend on how many mallows you want to make. I used about 1/2 Cup of both milk chocolate and white chocolate.

Step 3: Crush some candy canes. I used 3 normal sized peppermint candy canes. We crushed them in a ziploc with the smooth side of a meat tenderizer. My 5 year old loved this job 🙂

Step 4: The fun part! Hold on to the candy cane and dip the marshmallow about half way up into the chocolate. We drizzled some with white chocolate after dipping. Then dip them into the crushed candy cane. I laid mine on a silicone mat on a cookie sheet.

Step 5: Refrigerate. Put them in the fridge until the chocolate is set. Then they’re ready to share and eat! Serve these with a hot cup of hot chocolate for a yummy treat!
