Recipe Yields 8 Chicken Cordon Bleu Hot Pocket

You will need:

  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1/4 cup green onions
  • 1/3 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 80z cream cheese softened
  • 1 cups italian blend cheese
  • 2 80z cans of crescent rolls
  • 1 egg whipped (for egg wash)

In a medium sized mixing bowl stir together the chicken, ham, onions, garlic, parsley, cream cheese and italian cheese.  Open up your can of crescent rolls.  Each can will come with 8 triangle shaped rolls, but you want 4 rectangle rolls. Take your fingers and firmly press the two triangles together to form 4 rectangle rolls.  Divide the chicken ham mixture in half, in the bowl.  Then divide each half into four parts. This will give you 8 portions (to put into your 8 rolls).

Place the chicken and ham mixture on one side of the crescent roll.  Take the other half of the dough and fold it over the top, use a fork to seal the edged and press the top and bottom of the dough together. In a small bowl whisk  egg with 1 tablespoon water, to create an egg wash.  Use a basting brush to brush the egg wash onto the rolls.

 Bake at 375 degrees for 13-15 minutes or till golden brown. Enjoy!

Crockpot Italian Chicken Recipe

Great Keto Diet Recipe or Low Carb recipe too

  Crock pot Italian chicken  Recipe:

  • 2-3 large chicken breast (more if your family eats a lot of meat)
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Dash or garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 brick of cream cheese 

In your crockpot add chicken ( I used 2 large breast, they are about the size of 4 smaller breast that I am use to).  On top of the chicken, add 1 table spoon Italian seasoning. Add 1/2 cup water, 1 can cream of chicken soup, and 1 brick of cream cheese.  Put the lid on and cook on high for the first 1 1/2 hours,  mix it all up with a spoon making a sauce.  Put the lid back on and cook on medium/low for another 2-3 hours.  We eat it over the top of white rice, my family loves it.

I forgot to add that you can use frozen chicken, just add an extra 30 mins  to cooking time.  I love to take the chicken out of the freezer and pop it right into the crock pot…easy!img_0241

Put your hands in the air if you love your crock pot! I LOVE when I find a great crock pot recipe or develop one, don’t you?! They just seem to make my sometimes crazy schedule much less hectic. The other night I was thinking about a recipe my mom gave me years ago. The recipe wasn’t for the crock pot and wasn’t even for chicken, buuuut I had an idea and got to adapting. Voilà! Honey Garlic Chicken was born. This recipe got a big thumbs up all around the table. I served Honey Garlic Chicken along side steamed broccoli with sour dough garlic toast, but rice or mashed potatoes would have made a great companion too! Enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 7 boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 2 heaping tablespoons cornstarch

Directions

  1. In your crock pot/slow cooker, whisk together ketchup, honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, onion and red pepper together.
  2. Place chicken breast in crock pot/slow cooker, spoon sauce mixture over chicken.
  3. Cook on low for 5 hours or until chicken easily falls apart.
  4. Remove chicken breast from crock pot. Whisk cornstarch into the sauce mixture in your crock pot/ slow cooker, cover with lid and set crock pot/slow cooker to high. Sauce will thicken after about 5 minutes. Turn crock pot/slow cooker off. Return chicken to crock pot, cover chicken with sauce. Serve.

Ingredients

Chicken and Broccoli Cheesy Biscuit Bake

Do you need a quick and easy dinner idea.  If you like a great casserole then you have got to try this Chicken and Broccoli Cheesy Biscuit Bake recipe.  I takes about 10-15 minutes to toss everything together and you have a meal ready to go into the oven.

What you  will need to make this recipe:

  • 7 tablespoons (3/4 of a cube) butter melted
  • 4 cups shredded chicken ( you can use canned chicken  if in a rush)
  • 2 cups steamed broccoli  (use the frozen stuff in a bag if your in a rush)
  • 2 cups Bisquick Mix
  • 1 1/2 cups half and half
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 9X13 baking dish

Step 1: In the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish pour melted butter.  Evenly coat bottom of pan and the sides.  Sprinkle in shredded chicken, then put broccoli on top of the chicken.  I used boiled chicken breast, that I then shred.  But if you are in a hurry you could use canned chicken.

Step 2: In a small mixing bowl mix 2 cups bisquick mix and 1 1/2 cups half and half.  Pour this mixture over the chicken and broccoli. Mixture might be a little lumpy, but that is ok.

Step 3: Combine the chicken broth and sour cream, stir together and pour gently over the top of the biscuit mix (do not mix, they need to be poured separate). If you  mix it the bisquick becomes to soupy and does not bake right.

Step 4: Sprinkle the cheese on top and  bake in a 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes.
