This is a great recipe that I like to make when we are asked to bring a finger food to an event. I was able to make this for less than $2.00, and it feeds a large group.
Here is the Break down
- Biscuits free
- Cream cheese .50( on sale at Albertsons)
- mayonnaise .10 cents
- Italian seasoning free
- Veggies $1.25
Chilled Veggie Pizza
The original recipe called for Crescent rolls. But I used the grands flaky dinner roll biscuits we got for free at Albertsons a few months ago. We froze them. I just spread each biscuit out flat on a greased cookie sheet. Bake till golden on the edges. Set aside to cool.
In a bowl mix,
- 1 brick of cream cheese
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- package of dry Ranch dip or Italian seasoning
Mix together, and spread on cooled biscuits.
On top of the Cream Cheese Layer add chopped veggies. I just use what ever I have at the time, this time I used broccoli, carrots and cucumbers. These are quick, simple and seem to be a hit at every where we bring them. The plate always comes home empty.
