One of the best ways to be Thrifty is to reduce waste. I hate brown bananas, they make me gag, but they make wonderful banana bread, or pop them into the freezer and make a fruit smoothie with them.

When my bananas get like that I freeze them whole in the skins. Then when I want to make banana bread I defrost them in a bowl and after about 30 minutes I cut the bottom off squish the banana goo into the mix. When you do that it comes out like a thick goop and you don’t have to mash it up.
