  1. One of my sons has the talking alarm clock shown above. It works, that’s for certain! When he was in a dorm with a roommate last year, he resorted to using his cell phone for an alarm clock, as the talking one was too annoying to the roommate! It doesn’t take up much space, either, and is loud enough to easily hear it.
