What do you want for MOTHER’S DAY? I am not the typical woman who wants flowers and chocolates. They have never been my thing… I prefer a gift that I can use, enjoy and is practical. Believe it or not patio tiles or cork flooring tiles for sale were on my wish list this year for Mothers Day. We moved into an older home 5 years ago and we are in the process of redoing the house and yard. The back yard has this small nook that was filled with a prickly throne bushes taller than I am. Last year I spent one day chopping them all down and digging out the roots. It was nice to have them gone… but it then left me with a big dirt patch that I was not sure what to do with.
It grew a nice batch of weeds, so I cleared them all out… but once again was left with a large dirt patch. I told my hubby that I would love to put some rocks or pavers down to create a nice place to use and store our patio furniture. But I don’t have the time or energy to accomplish this project since I am just weeks away from delivering baby number five.
That is when I saw these patio tiles on the BrylaneHome site. COULD it really be as easy as they say…. could you really just take them out of the box, lay them down and have an instant patio? Well it was worth a try. But I admit I was a little nervous…. you know the saying “if it seems to good to be true….”.
Here is some info about the patio tiles

The tiles have large spikes on the bottom to help them stay in place. I smoothed out the ground the best I could, but it still had a lot of rocks and bark in it… it was also not very level. BUT I wanted to see what would happen if I tried to lay the tiles down as is. I put one in the corner, stepped on it to secure it in place… and then was on to the next one. In less than 5 minutes I had a whole row done…. HOT DIGGITY I was one excited mama. In about 20 minutes I had all the tiles laid down. It was so easy to pull them back up if I made a mistake, but they also stayed in place well with no sliding or shifting.
I now have a nice patio that I can use and store my patio furniture, umbrella and umbrella stand side table. These tiles would be perfect to take camping and use outside your RV, or for a BBQ. I love, love, love how easy there were to install and the finished product is JUST what I needed.

Disclosure ~ Thanks again to BrylaneHome for sending me this product to review. I was not paid and all opinions are my own. I was given the product to review.
My neighbor did this on his deck at our townhomes. Looks OK.
This is an excellent idea! I live in a community governed by an HOA and I think this would be an excellent alternative to bypass all the approvals, permits and etc…I think lol
Maybe it was just the picture the link took me to. The lady was putting them in the dirt and there was dirt all over them. To me, it just looked like plastic garden items.
I read a review saying they were very slippery when wet. Has it rained since you put them in and what did you think?
What a cool idea. Do you know if they come in like a wood color or pattern…so it would look more like a deck? Was it hard to get them all lined up and leveled properly?
Neat idea!!
Very cute!
Well I love them 🙂
NOPE totally removable, they have spikes on the bottom that keep them in place. Super easy to install or move if needed
Hideous.
Is it not glued down and sealed?
